R1/P2/VLCD1 ~ Starting Jan. 1, 2011
Welcome to 2011! I had spent my last two days loading up (on food as well as spirits for the holiday ) I felt pretty much sick to my stomach from loading for 2 days. It was even hard having drinks last night!
I decided I should explain a few of the abbreviations people use while on this diet.
R1 - means round one. This is my 1st time on the hcg diet, so this would be my round one.
P2 - means phase 2. Phase 1 is the loading days, Phase 2 is the 500 calorie diet, and Phase 3 is the maintenance.
VLCD - means Very Low Calorie Diet. you would then add which day you are one, mine being VLCD1 (day one).
Well, today is a brand new day, and we have started day one of our 500 cal. diet. We woke up this morning and took our drops the same as we have been doing for the last two days. Then we took our "pill cocktail", which consists of a daily vitamin, B-12 and for me potassium (I am prone to leg cramps, and have read that it can be a side effect of the hcg diet) and today we added 2 tylenol for the New Year's Day headache we each have!
Neither one of us cares for tea or coffee, so it's been strickly water for us both. We did have our apple this morning, and lunch was 3.5oz of steak (seasoned) and 3.5 oz of radishes on the side. My problem is, I don't care for steak! So I didn't finish my last two bites of it... Then, due to the wonderful hangover from the previous days festivities, we both napped (as a matter of fact, I can still here him snoring from the couch ) I woke up and I don't feel hungry, which is good.
Dinner: 3.5 oz of chicken and I think it will be either lettuce, or celery. I haven't quite decided. I just took my evening dose of drops and will see if I can hold out closer to 6:00pm for supper so I don't spend the rest of my night starving. So far so good today, but I don't really consider it a good judgement day cuz I'm hungover and not in my normal way today.
I hope I see a change in the scale tomorrow! That would be encouraging :)
